Peace for Nature – Community Environmental Action Launch
The Peace for Nature – Community Environmental Action campaign was officially launched at Dengu Beach, Dar es Salaam, officiated by Hon. Edward J. Mpogolo, District Commissioner of Ilala. The initiative focuses on strengthening environmental protection, promoting youth inclusion, and advancing climate justice along Tanzania’s coastline.
The programme is implemented by LASDGs, led by Mariam Mohamed Lulida, in partnership with HWPL represented by Eric Martin Heri, and JUZA Waste Pickers Initiative led by Nassibu Kitabu, in collaboration with the Dar es Salaam City Council and local communities. It supports the Government’s National Clean-Up Campaign and encourages community-driven environmental action.
